This summer is the first summer since before my son I have felt level headed. Postpartum blues, amirite? It basically means that I really want to get the kids out and into the water this summer. My biggest fear, however, is for one of my kids to be unsafe in or near the water. Last year my dad bought Kbebe a vest with removable float inserts but he was still unsure about the water. Because of his fear and my having a newborn, we didn’t go a lot last year. But this year is different, this year I have my Everyday Baby Wrap from Beachfront Baby! This year, I will wear with no fear near the water.
First off, the color is gorgeous! I’ve been really into light pink, blue, and purple lately so this color is divine. Then comes the fabric itself. The Everyday Baby Wrap is made with Repreve® and is extremely breathable. I love how I can wear it in and out of the pool without having to adjust. That’s another thing, adjusting the wrap to fit securely is a bit tricky at first. I followed the instructions initially but The Sweetness was just got getting secure. So, I contacted Beachfront Baby and they were able to troubleshoot for me. The carry I ended up with was not the traditional one they suggest, so I recommend following the instructions or contacting them, they love to help!
Speaking of helping, that is just what this wrap allowed me to do! While spending time with my littles I need to be able to help them in any way that I can. That is why I wear my baby so that I can be hands-free for my big guy. This wrap was no exception, I absolutely needed to be hands-free. (My water fear) Once I had the wrap secure it was so easy to let myself relax and enjoy the day with my babies. I knew that if I needed to, I would be able to use my hands and even carry Kbebe out of the water when he started to get tired.
About The Everyday Baby Wrap
Beachfront Baby also has a standard mesh line. They offer slings, wraps, and even bags to carry it all. Personally, I opted to test the Everyday Baby Wrap (they have a sling version as well) because when I wear my baby I don’t want to be worried about anything. I want something secure, safe, that protects, and that I can wear in and out of the water.
From the Beachfront Baby website, “This hi-tech knit fabric is made with 100% recycled PET water bottles right here in the US. Each wrap is made using approximately 19 water bottles. The REPREVE® yarn used in our Everyday Carriers is certified to be free of harmful substances according to OEKO-TEX® Standard 100. It is light as a feather out of the water, but strong enough to hold toddlers up to 35lbs. It wicks moisture away from you and baby, keeping you both cool & comfy while on dry land. It includes a UPF factor of 15, meaning it blocks about 87% of UVA and 95% of UVB rays.”
That entire description plus the price point of $70-$76 for the wrap and $80 for a sling is what sold me completely.
As for my personal experience, I can attest that the Everyday Baby Wrap by Beachfront Baby is perfect for summertime! It dries in the sun quickly, washes easily, and allows me to create a secure bond with BOTH my babies while doing activities we love. On the website, beachfrontbabywraps.com, they also mention showering! Why didn’t I think of that? The Sweetness is a stage5 clinger, I say that with all the love in my heart but sometimes I just want to take a shower. The next time I need one and my husband is gone, that is what I’m going to do!
Snag one for the rest of summer. Use code “HUSTLE17” for 10% off, be quick though the code is only good through July 11, 2017!
Happy 4th | The Mom PSA (because I just have to say it)
Today is the 4th of July, so celebrate safely around pools and barbecues. If you are going to drink, please call a Lyft or a friend. As for me and my little crew we have a big day planned. Doesn’t matter that I went to bed at 3:00 AM, the morning comes quickly and my babies deserve to spend every moment as if it is the first time they are experiencing it. Because it most often is their first time seeing the world. Isn’t that just amazing?
What are your 4th of July plans today? Leave me a comment and let me know what you did and if an Everyday Baby Wrap by Beachfront Baby is a good fit for your family!
