Parental Chaos

MommyCon Orlando 2017 and a Change in Mindset

Moms Trip Must Haves

When traveling with a friend for a Moms Trip you can either fly blind, plan down to the tee, or have a hybrid of both. This trip we chose a hybrid. We bought plane tickets, left transportation up in the air, and had a rough outline of our trip in hand. By putting less stress on the fine print we were able to still have fun! With MommyCon Orlando 2017 in the books, we made the best of our time, inspiring parents and sharing stories.

MommyCon Atlanta is October 28th, 2017. Use code STBH17 for $5 off your General Admission Ticket.

This moms trip would not have been a success without a few survival tips! Surviving this trip without our families it was imperative that we blend amazing products, so-so planning, and a goal of good old-fashioned fun! From Mickey themed ponchos and matching shirts to comfy sleep clothes and spa treatments. We had a blast!

We Made a Rough Plan

Our rough plan was based on our flight itinerary. The plan was to arrive, go to the hotel, then go to Disney Pandora and the Magic Kingdom. From there we would stay for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, leaving early so I could rest for my session the next day. Saturday we had MommyCon in the morning and decided to save Epcot for that evening. All to round out our trip leaving the next morning bright and early.

Basically, the chaos never leaves my life and things always end up not quite on the plan. However, we had an AWESOME trip! Read more about the #MomsTrip and check out the hashtag on Instagram for more.

MommyCon Orlando 2017

MommyCon Orlando 2017 was probably one of my favorite events this year, so far. (Atlanta don’t let me down) Great people, great brands, and a whole lot of love filled the rooms. My session “Stay at Home Parent, Now What”, although early, we had a great turnout! I have a little bit of the session posted here but to hear the rest you will have to come to MommyCon Atlanta to hear me live! (I’m much more fun in real life!) Oh and don’t forget to use STBH17 for $5 off your general admission ticket.

MommyCon is always fun! Seeing parents, yes dads come too, interacting with other parents is such a joy to me. During my session, I actually had 2-3 dads in there and of course all the babies. My goodness, the babies are everywhere and it is glorious. Now for me, we are done unless a miracle happens so MommyCon is where I get all my baby snuggles. But seriously, there is so much we could talk about MommyCon but it is so much better if you just come to one. Plus then there is all the shopping with the wonderful exhibitors!

MommyCon Orlando 2017’s exhibitor hall was laid out beautifully. No bumping into anyone, well unless you were in the line for Grovia. Plenty of room for strollers, babywearing, and kids running wild. It is like parental chaos just blossoms there but everyone is still relaxed and smiling. When you come to MommyCon it is always important to take a selfie at the Selfie Station, then check out my favorite place, Vagina Village before you snag your gift bag and shop.

At MommyCon Orlando, I met with a few amazing brands that I wanted to share with you all. (Spoilers there is a giveaway at the end of this post) These brands were so eager to meet and share their dreams with everyone. It was amazeballs!

Brands I Love

Fresh Wave Bag, Gel, Packs, and Spray. Keeping your home smelling great!

Fresh Wave

If you haven’t tried Fresh Wave at Target, Bed Bath & Beyond, or Ace Hardware, you are missing out! their packs are the only thing that keeps our diaper pail smelling fresh. I’m ordering the Spray and the Gel for our guest bathroom ASAP, you should too if you have a potty training toddler. Check them out at, social media, and at MommyCon Atlanta!

Keenz Stroller Wagons. Off roading ease for families everywhere.

Keenz is a newer company to me, which is surprising because they are based about 30 minutes from my house! The Keenz Stroller Wagon is a wagon, stroller duo that seriously tops all others that I had been looking at. I love that it has 5 point safety harnesses, a cooler bag, and SO many more features. Browsing their website I noticed things that I hadn’t noticed in person! They will also be at MommyCon Atlanta so be sure to check them out when you get there. It is a really cool concept and perfect for lake days, sports, Walt Disney World, pretty much everything!

Basically, Moms Just Wanna Have Fun

This trip was exactly what I needed to rest, reset, and continue on managing the parental chaos. However, it was made extra special with a few must-haves for any moms trip. SPA ESSENTIALS AND COMFY CLOTHES!

As you know I adore Belibea’s NOURISH line. I’m still pumping for The Sweetness so I am always down for a convenient pumping/nursing option and Belibea is it. Even my friend SarahLaine who is not breastfeeding anymore raved about the comfort. She put on the NOURISH Cami that I brought her and immediately said, “Wow, this is really nice!” Breastfeeding or not, Belibea will always be my go-to. Snag 20% Off with code MOMAGER on their website today!

Dirty Beauty & Lavandula Skin Spa

Lately I have been working on self-care more often, in fact, my birthday party is a spa party this Sunday! Dirty Beauty and Lavandula Skin Spa are my go-to plant-based spa treatment ladies. They are local to me and you can literally watch them make the products they use for treatments by visiting the Mix Lab! For local peeps, check out the Dirty Beauty website for upcoming skincare classes and events!

Now For The Goods, A Giveaway!

There will be 5 winners for this giveaway each person winning one of the fantastic prizes that I have collected for you! Seriously, they are so good I may enter myself!

This was my 1st time going to Orlando Mommycon. Best day ever!!! I’ve learned so many things I didn’t during my 1st pregnancy. Now that I’m having twins so many more options available.

I saw you speak at mommycon in Memphis and loved it! I’m a chaos momager because I’m juggling a 4 year old who has soccer practice tonight plus open house at his school. All while making sure my 13 month old stays off of high objects (her newest obsession..can’t keep her off the kitchen table) and trying to get to the gym to lose some weight.

    1. Bryttany Hyde September 21, 2017 at 2:43 pm

I’m so glad you made it to my session in Memphis! My 16 month old is the same way, it’s like they think they are grown just in smaller bodies!
