One of the hardest things to do is to live through the eyes of a child. As a mom I am constantly amazed at how my son lives with a thankful heart and how much joy he has. I realize that sometimes I get caught up in #momlife that I forget to appreciate the things around me.
Mad a mom it is so easy to loose sight of why you are a mom and who you are outside of that label. Most of the time I just want to curl up and cry because mommin’ ain’t easy. During Setember I spent time focusing on myself and trying to find who I am. Naturally this month I am focusing on Thankfulness.
So I have dedicated this month to Building a Thankful Heart!
Each day I am posting what I am thankful for via Facebook and Instagram. My goal is to find something to be thankful for even during the parental chaos. Join me online for #thankfulnovember and share what you are thankful for as well!
We are focusing on thankfulness as a family also! A big change is heading our way and I know that something big has to change. Raising thankful, mindful, sustainable, and loving children requires the same from the parents. So we are giving away, selling, or throwing out a lot of our belongings and keeping what we truly find joy in. By simplifying our life we are finding joy as a family and individuals.
All around us are things to be thankful for! Take the challenge with me this month and post daily what you are thankful for via social media! Tag me with what you are thankful for and comment below with the goals you have for your family!
